Akrapovič opened its stand form 7. – 11. of July in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany for the 11th successive year. The Slovenian premier performance exhaust manufacturer was again joined by thousands of eager visitors at the prestigious BMW Motorrad Days event.
Akrapovič is constantly pushing the boundaries of design and technical innovation in its ‘Quest for Excellence’ and had all the latest products for the German brand on display, along with special guests and machines from BMW’s racing family.
Akrapovič’s dynamic new booth featured all the high-performance products you would associate with the brand, showing the build quality, durability and advanced design that goes into every lightweight, unique sounding exhaust system.
At the stand visitors got up-close-and-personal with all the latest innovations, such as the Slip-On Line (Titanium) exhaust for BMW S 1000 RR, which is 72.6% lighter than stock and weighs just 3.2 kg. They also saw the Akrapovič portfolio for BMW motorcycles, including road, scooter and adventure bikes, with very popular exhaust systems for the equally well-respected BMW R 1200 GS on display, including the impressive black Slip-On Line (Titanium) exhaust which will certainly be a best-seller.
The stand also featured BMW racing bike equipped with an Akrapovič exhaust system, with the star being Ian Hutchinson’s BMW S 1000 RR, which he recently raced at the 2017 Isle of Man TT, although it will have to fight for attention from bike fans with the BMW C 650 Sport, with its uniquely designed special Akrapovič exhaust, owned by the 2014 and 2016 DTM champion Marco Wittmann. There were also some accessories for the BMW M2 road car including an Akrapovič Evolution Line (Titanium) exhaust system and a rear carbon fibre diffuser.
On the Saturday Akrapovič welcomed its very special guest, Akrapovič brand Ambassador and BMW Works driver Marco Wittmann, and other racing guests over the past weekend.
