Interblock Chairman Joc Pececnik and Anze Kopitar proved again that in spite of all their obligations and busy schedules, there is still time to support good charities. For the third consecutive year, Interblock was the main sponsor and organizer that supported the charity golf tournament of Anze Kopitar; event raises € 39,275.
Funds were raised by golf fees, by additional sponsors, including members of the Slovenian Business Club and from the evening auction, where auction items included sports equipment from the best Slovenian athletes and some interesting design items, such as Kartell Mademoiselle chair and bag called Grace K.
This year the funds were donated to five recipients:
- Red Ball Foundation that supported the “Making Dreams Come True” project to help socially disadvantaged children who have special talents
- The Centre for Training, Work and the Protection of Matevz Langus that takes care for people with intellectual disabilities
- URI Soca to help Lena and Jana, members of Slovenian national team in sitting volleyball to buy them special prosthesis
- “Kovkarjeva Kajza,” the first Slovenian wooden house that has a rich cultural heritage in Slovenia and is going to renew a roof.
Entertainment at the evening auction was provided by Denis Avdic and Uros Slak, and the charity event was attended by well-known Slovenian names like Jure Košir, Tomaz Razingar, Marcel Rodman, Bojan Križaj, Tomaž Vnuk, Primoz Ulaga and finally Peter Prevc that played golf for the first time in his life.
