One of the Slovenian Business Club’s main focuses is social responsibility. Thus the Club has taken over the co-management of the Red Ball Foundation, the institution that carries out numerous charities with the purpose of helping socially disadvantaged and people in need of help. Within the framework of the Charity section Red Ball we look after the realization of SBC’s sustainable projects.

Can you still remember how when we were children the most magical time was the last month of the year with its festive events even though the gifts were much more modest back then? The one thing that has not changed is the magic of a child’s enthusiastic writing of letters, the expectation and counting of days, the incredible joy this traditional gift giving bring to the hearts of each and every child, including those whose parents are in financial difficulties and cannot afford any additional financial burdens. This has not escaped our notice and this is why we try...

In the name of Slovenian – Croatian friendship, the Gallus Hall in Cankarjev dom last month hosted a concert dedicated to the memory of the recently departed Croatian composer, writer, poet, singer-songwriter, and translator Arsen Dedić. The event was marked by Croatian and Slovenian celebrities, in particular Arsen’s wife Gabi Novak, who was the discovery of the Slovenian composer and conductor Bojan Adamič and who with her recognisable voice completely won over the audience of our former common country. An important contribution was made by his son Matija Dedić, who is one of the best jazz pianists in the world...

December is a magical month, a time of holidays and giving, the time we all look forward to but none more than children who year after year write their wishes to Saint Nicholas, Santa Claus or Father Christmas. Sadly, in our region there is an increasing number of children who are disappointed in their expectations and their parents are even more miserable as these holidays bring a lot of pain and a sad reminder of everything they cannot give their children. To help those parents and to bring joy to children, this year the Slovenian Business Club, in cooperation with...

The project is organised by the Friends of Youth Association Maribor. The Red Ball Foundation in cooperation with the Slovenian Business Club supported Jakob’s dreams. On February 1st 2010, police officers Anita Krumpak and Gašper Zupan from Rogaška Slatina became parents to twins Ažbe and Jakob. The younger twin, Jakob, was born with the dysmelia of the proximal part of the right femur, meaning that he lacks the right hip and the upper part of his right femur does not grow. He had the necessary surgery here in Slovenia and after a year his hip finally started developing, nevertheless, the surgery was not successful. Because all the material was damaged after...
