Magneti Ljubljana among the GZS Award Winners for Exceptional Economic and Entrepreneurial Achievements in 2016

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia presented the 49th Awards for exceptional economic and entrepreneurial achievements in Cankarjev dom in Ljubljana on March 6th, 2017. These awards honour the entrepreneurs who have run their companies successfully for a number of years. There were 6 awarded companies which stem from 5 Slovenian regions and 4 industries.

The company Magneti Ljubljana, a member of the Slovenian Business Club, was founded in 1951 under the name Iskra Magneti. Albert Erman joined in 1992 and is now the majority owner of the company which manufactures high-quality permanent magnets and magnetic systems, intended primarily for the automotive industry. They work in the field that has an extremely fast yield of new products and materials.

87 percent of their income is made on foreign markets, where they are met with German and Chinese competition. They have recorded a several dozen percent export increase in the markets of France, Hungary, and Germany, where they are systematically directed into the sale of magnetic systems.


When nominated, Albert Erman emphasized that the power of cooperation is frequently the lifeline that saves from the crisis and is the exceptional happening that gives base for optimism.
