In 2016, the companies gathered in the SBC – Slovenian Business Club increased their net sales growth in comparison to 2012 by 41.1%, while the sales growth of all corporate entities in the same period was 7.6%. The number of employees in the private sector in general raised by 5.6%, while the number in SBC member companies increased by 30.2%. The Municipality of Cerklje na Gorenjskem has adopted the amendments of the current municipal detailed spatial plan (OPPN) for the L8 Business Complex Brnik. The area in the immediate proximity to the Ljubljana Airport comprises of approximately 36 hectares of buildable land and is intended for logistics, manufacturing, craft, commercial, business and service activities.
