Another Mandate for Marjan Batagelj as the Head of the SBC

In the last month and a half, the Slovenian Business Club has been joined by 13 new members.

The Slovenian Business Club Assembly today voted the new mandate for Marjan Batagelj who will continue to run the Club next year. Nine new members of the Board of Directors were also appointed for a three-year term. They are: Igor Akrapovič (Akrapovič), Mihael Blažič (Blažič, robni trakovi), Jure Knez (Dewesoft), Martin Jezeršek (Jezeršek gostinstvo), Marko Lotrič (Lotrič Meroslovje), Tanja Skaza (Plastika Skaza), Andrej Repše (Armat), Ema Pogačar (Conditus), and Marko Bitenc (Kirurgija Bitenc).

The company ABC Maziva is the exclusive supplier of industrial lubricants of the brands Aral, BP, and Castrol for Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo, and FYR Macedonia. In addition to oils and lubricants they offer the Chemical Management System (CMS). All their customers are offered cost reductions in all types of production.

Cleangrad plans, designs, installs, and validates cleanrooms. Due to innovative solutions and high quality the company is the leading provider of cleanrooms in Europe. It employs about 100 people.

GEA College has been a synonym for business education in Slovenia since its foundation in 1990 and puts emphasis on entrepreneurship and management. When forming and implementing programmes they primarily consider global trends, international standards for the fields of education and training, and demands concerning the practical skills and knowledge of employees and entrepreneurs. The GEA College Group today consists of four companies with 20 employees and more than 100 lecturers from among entrepreneurs and economists.

Hermi produces and develops lightning and surge protection, cable tray systems, and mounting systems for solar power plants under its own trademark. They want to become the best-known provider of interior and exterior surfaces lightning protection in the region of South-eastern Europe, while by expanding to Austria and other countries they wish to increase their presence elsewhere in the EU and around the world. The company currently employs 60 people in Slovenia and 20 more in their companies abroad.

They are intended for comprehensive support in the processes of document issuing and their multi-lingual translation for target markets all over the world.

Varis Lendava is one of the best producers of ready-to-install bathrooms in Europe. These special products which are their most important item are used to equip hotels of the most prestigious hotel chains including Sheraton, Hampton by Hilton, Motel One, Intercity, Novotel, Holiday Inn, Steigenberger, HIEX, and Scandic. During their 40-year-long history they have made almost 90 thousand of them. The company employs about 230 people.

In the coming months, the Slovenian Business Club plans to focus on the proposals from the programme FOR Propulsive Slovenia published in January. Intensive communication has been underway with all Slovenian political parties about the 16 proposals from this programme for the mandate of 2018–2022.
